These units are a more affordable alternative to more expensive slip on units which can cost several thousands more and often have a considerably smaller water capacity. The large water capacity is almost half of that of some of the CFA tankers in commission today. With the possibility of future fires like black Saturday people can’t afford to rely on getting a fire truck when they need one in catastrophic situations.
With a range of pump options the units are also very versatile and have a range of other uses including:

When coupled with a trailer they can also be easily removed from the trailer so that the trailer can be used for other purposes throughout the year, an advantage over the permanent fire carts available on the market.
The most popular unit sold is using a Single impeller Davey firefighter pump powered by a reliable Honda 5.5hp engine.
All units comes with a 1000L Steel frame tank with all the necessary fittings. There is a 6m suction hose with strainer for quick filling from Dams, rivers or pools. There is also a inlet on the top of the tank to allow filling from hoses or water stands.
A choice of 2 x 10m Hoses with adjustable fire Nozzles or 1 x 20m hose with adjustable fire nozzle. Extra hoses are available for purchase. Most people are taking the option of the longer hose to fight fires in more inaccessible areas and when fences and other obstructions exist.
All setups conveniently fit on the back of Utes and in 6x4 trailers. New Trailers and second hand trailers are available from $600 for second hand trailers and $1150 for new heavy duty 6x4’s
